March 22, 2019 Local Knoxville firm seeks help with rendering and visualization
is a boutique residential practice that specializes in historic home renovation. We are a full-service practice and often assist clients with material, finish, and product selections.
We are in search of someone who loves rendering to help us develop digital materials models for clients. The most important skill we need is someone with great style (we would love to see some rendering examples or portfolio pieces to help us know if you’re a style match). The next most critical component is Photoshop expertise (or GIMP or Affinity — you need to be excellent at image manipulation). SketchUp is a plus, but we realize that software is not common in school and we’re willing to teach it or consider other software.
The rendering style we’re looking for is clear, simple, and direct. We like incorporating hand drawn touches into computer models.
We are looking for someone who wants to be a contract worker for 5-15 hours per month. We don’t need these models frequently and we can plan them in advance, so it should be workable around an academic schedule.
If interested, please contact Sara Martin: sara@opendoorarchitecture.com. Samples of your work are a plus; they don’t need to be polished into a perfect portfolio. Just a few examples of what you can do are fine!
