No costOur 2021-2022 Lecture Series continues on Oct. 14, 5:30 p.m., with an in-person lecture featuring Jenny Wu and Dwayne Oyler, founding partners of and our 2021 BarberMcMurry Endowed Professors.
Wu and Oyler will present “Inlays, Loose Fits, and Other Puzzling Forms of Assembly.” Driven by an obsessive culture of experimentation and making, the work of Oyler Wu Collaborative includes a broad range of projects at all scales, from large-scale buildings to furniture. Â Dwayne Oyler and Jenny Wu will discuss the exploratory ideas, objects, and assembly sensibilities that drive the work, as well as the multi-scalar approach to their architectural application.

The professorship was established by Knoxville-based firm, , to promote design excellence through teaching and research by a prominent visiting professor who is an internationally or nationally recognized practicing architect. It is the result of a bequest from Blanche Barber and a match by BarberMcMurry Architects to produce the $1 million endowment.
Since 2013, the BarberMcMurry Professorship has funded five internationally recognized architects as teachers and researchers for the benefit of students at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.
