Architectural Production
This position primarily involves working on all design phases of both ground up new construction design and interior renovations. The position will be responsible for preparation of construction documents and specifications for the construction and working with the other architectural professional team members. Due to the firms design’s diversity, this position will also include working on various type projects including, but not limited to, hospitality, healthcare and corporate projects.
Job Duties:
- Attending project meetings as requested and general management support
- Meeting with clients and contractors to accurately assess and understand contract documents
- Performing original, creative design work utilizing specifications, sketches and ideas for developing designs
- Analyzing space utilization effectiveness and changing demands for space needs; recommending actions to meet new requirements
- Working with the Project Manager to establish and monitor project budgets and give progress updates
- Obtaining space/design requirements and measurements, and making sketches preliminary to the preparation of drawings of proposed projects
- Assisting in preparation of scale drawing of details required for construction documentation, design development drawings, and “record” drawings upon completion of construction.
- Preparing detailed sets of construction drawings
- Assisting with the coordination of the bid process
- Reviewing shop drawings, specifications, cost estimates and construction material recommendations submitted by outside architects and contractors to ensure adherence to contract and notifying architect of discrepancies
- Coordinating and incorporating engineer work into architectural drawings
- Maintaining office standards and policies along with state registration and professional affiliations
- Knowledge of BIM, REVIT software is preferred
Interior Design
This position primarily involves working on all interior design phases of both ground up new construction design and interior renovations. The position will be responsible for preparation of construction documents for Tenant Build out and interior design details and specifications for each project. Specifications of finishes, furniture will be one responsibility along with move management, working with other team members on the firms design’s diversity of projects.
